Doug Newell retired as Standard Bearer earlier this year; however, he attended the November 2007 reunion at Bournemouth and was persuaded to carry the Standard again for our Remembrance service so that we could record the event for all to see. At the service the Reverend Taylor said: 'this is the last time Doug Newell will carry the Standard and we should thank him for his years of service. We should also remember that Doug has represented the association, not only at our reunions, but also at many ex-service ceremonial events around the country.'
